Global Exchange Fair Trade Store Affiliate Program

Global Exchange is committed to political, social and environmental justice around the world. Since 1988 they have been working globally at the community level to build awareness of world trade issues and translating that awareness into the advancement of Fair Trade.

The Fair Trade Stores themselves therefore stem from a strong ethical background, and an organisation that really understands the value and power of Fair Trade. Global Exchange now has three physical stores (in San Francisco, Berkeley and Portland) and the online store.

Online, the product range covers the more usual tea, coffee and chocolate but also has strong ranges of jewellery, crafts and clothing. Items are well described and well presented with good sized photos - and shoppers should find the site easy to get around and find what they want. Orders are shipped entirely in re-used packaging materials (from goods shipped to the company as well as donated materials from the local community). Gift wrapping is available too, using recycled gift packaging.

Affiliate commissions are a little low at 5%, but the strong ethical stance of the company and the good product range may well counter this depending on the profile of your sites visitors.

Note: the company will ship internationally but they are US based and cannot ship food items outside US and Canada.
